The work
A forest inside a school gate
None of the four plots is large — four hundred square feet at Jabrella, a thousand at The Good Harvest School. Miyawaki planting is what fits ground that size.
Buy for the next site as well
Fourteen hundred and sixty plants procured, one thousand and twenty-five in the ground, four hundred and thirty-five held back rather than crowded in.
Plant on ground people use
Two primary schools, a school and a college. The four plots sit where children and students walk past them every day of term.
Plant when the labour is there
The four days fell in February and March, outside the window the Forest Department and the nurseries recommend. The wheat harvest had the labour until then.
