Green the Map has over the years turned out to be the ‘upcycling’ voice of India and is engaged in creating livelihood for thousands of migrant workers and women from different parts of the country, and in the process saving the environment by managing some of our urban waste. It is an enterprise that looks at creating an alternative for urban consumers, for fair trade goods and lifestyle and also stresses upon the philosophy of sustainable consumption and production.
FOCUS AREA - Upcycling of waste, livelihood generation
KEY ACTIVITIES - Procurement and processing of waste, Upcycling of waste , awareness workshops in schools, colleges and corporate houses, customer outreach through physical stores and e-commerce.
TARGET GROUP - People from underprivileged backgrounds, Youth and civil society
OUTREACH AND IMPACT - Reached out to more than 100000 people directly as consumers, and indirectly through the media. Green The Map is a consortium of more than twenty other environment friendly social enterprises, thus generating livelihood for at least 200 other producers who belong to disadvantaged communities.
Our products have been endorsed by organisations such as British Council, The American Center, UNDP, VSO, CAG and TERI. Green the Map has partnered with prominent organisations such as Pinkathon and Indigo Airlines to upcycle their waste
