Ashim Bery has been working extensively with youth for the past seven years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History Honors from Ramjas College, Delhi University, and has over a decade of work experience in the Development Sector. Ashim works as a Senior Programmes Officer at Swechha and primarily manages all of our programmes under sustainable lifestyles and education. At Swechha, he has worked directly with several hundreds of school going students from both private and government institutions. Ashim is also an alumnus of the US Forest Service International Programs Seminar on Urban Forestry and Community Engagement, held in 2019.
In addition to this, Ashim is also a musician by profession, with a formal training and background in Hindustani Classical Music that spans over 20 years. He has performed across several venues in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Dehradun and Jaipur, and has also fostered collaborations with prominent theatre artists, classical dancers and storytellers. Ashim also facilitates immersive forest therapy/forest bathing and ‘Music in Woods’ experiences & walks for citizens across Delhi. Some of his interests include music, writing, travelling, reading and spending time in nature.
