An engaging, enthusiastic and hectic week of mobilising in the community came to end yesterday, with our first Me to We Job Camp at Triveni Complex near Jagdamba Camp, held on 26th May 2019.
Over 70 young adolescents aged 17-25 gathered together on a hot Sunday afternoon, to learn more about the various job opportunities available for them in the Hospitality Industry.
We were joined by representatives and experts from Magic Bus ETASHA Society Don Bosco Tech Society and Life Project 4 Youth – LP4Y that work specifically on employability, training and skill building. Each of them shared their respective presentations and success stories with our students.
It was great to see the enthusiasm and excitement amoung our young adolescents, who listened in patiently and engaged in a fruitful dialogue and Q&A session with the organisations.
Over 45 participants have registered themselves with us and will now be meeting with the team this Wednesday (29th May 2019), in order to understand the next steps for their training.
A big thank you to all our volunteers and community animators who worked throughout the week with our team, in order to make this camp a successful one! And to the 4 organisations for taking the time out to share their work and scope of opportunities available, with our students.
