Swechha in collaboration with Purpose on their People First Cities campaign, conducted a training on Solid Waste Management for ambassadors from unorganized settlements in Kanpur in 2 separate phases spread across June.

Our hands-on experiences enabled the knowledge transfer to be carried out in a comprehensive manner, where themes of waste and its management were covered by encouraging ambassadors to learn how to build their own action plans and design campaigns. These exercises were targeted to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the ambassadors to materialize their plans into action.

From engagement with PRA to carrying out a door-to-door survey, followed by exposure-based engagement, all of our ambassadors got a grasp on how to engage with different stakeholders and tackle problems that interfere with their action plans.

We wish all of the community ambassadors the best to carry out meaningful, systematic, and responsible change in their communities!
