Yamuna Shramdaan with Beam Suntory

A couple of hours spent at the river Yamuna in Kudsia Ghat on the 30th of April, with over 50 amazing and enthusiastic youth volunteers from Beam Suntory!

The entire group worked togther with our team, in the collection and disposal of all kinds of waste left completely unattended for many years, both inside the river and around the entire floodplain.

In a couple of hours, we were able to segregate and collect over two and a half truck loads of waste (mostly religious and plastic waste) that was then sent off for disposal, with the support of the MCD.

It was great to see so many volunteers come out despite the strong heat, and work with so much dedication! We managed to clear out a significant chunk of unattended waste on the floodplain. A small yet extremely significant step that showcased the power of active citizenship and volunteering. We thank the entire team at Beam Suntory for their support!
