Lopamudra Sanyal is a Master in Social Work from the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. Her tryst with volunteering and internships started soon after school and during her under graduation in English Literature at Miranda House. She has worked with various organisations and activists, including noted activist Rehana Habib (Saharanpur), RAHI (New Delhi), Pravah (New Delhi), IFFCO (Rajasthan), Ankur (New Delhi) and Teesta Setalvad (Mumbai). In 2005-2006 she also worked, unaided and unsponsored, with victims of rampant MCD demolitions in East Delhi, towards providing Demolition Slips to the 170 affected families. Other than her sojourn with activism, Lopamudra is a traveler and poet, and is working on her first book on indigenous peace-building methods in India and abroad.
