Our short-term outreach programme for schools and other institutions eager to engage with issues related to the environment, life skills and citizenship, as a way of creating awareness and ownership of our social and physical environment. Modules on waste, water and forests include general information on each theme, plus information on their context in Delhi. Each module follows four steps, these are: orientation, knowledge, experience and consolidation/action. Keeping it fun and exciting is integral to the Brake-Even philosophy.

OUTREACH AND IMPACT
Brake Even has been implemented in more than 40 schools of Delhi and has successfully engaged more than 8,000 students on issues of environment and citizenship.
Apart from direct institutional tie-ups with schools, VSO, American Center and The Smart Cube have also supported implementation of Brake Even.
Renowned schools of the capital such as Springdales School Pusa Road, Delhi Public School, Banyan Tree, Mothers’ International School and St. Columba’s School have given excellent feedback about the program.
The students learnt about the entire route of the river Yamuna and how it is getting polluted. The group activities and interaction among the students and the facilitator was effective in building up interest and awareness in students.
