Kuriakose Varghese is a lawyer practicing in the Supreme Court of India and in the High Court of Delhi. He has been assisting the Counsel of the Government of India at the Disputes Settlement Body of the WTO (Geneva). He was called to the Bar in 2003 and started his practice at the Chambers of the Central Government Standing Counsel (New Delhi), and, in that capacity, has been part of a team that represented the Union of India in several landmark cases. Kuriakose holds a BA (Hons) degree in History from St Stephen’s College, as well as an LLB from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He obtained his LLM from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, wherein he specialised in Comparative Law and Governance.
